Nurturing True Grit in Children

To most parents nowadays, a child’s success is largely defined by the children’s academic ability and good grades. What they do not realise is that having good characters also play an important role in helping the children to be successful in the future. In Kumon, as a child enrichment program, we firmly believe that both academic ability and good characters are equally important to succeed in life.

Through Kumon method, the characters of the child are built up with the spirit of perseverance and self-confidence. Our worksheet is designed in such a way that it helps a child to develop self-learning skills by solving the questions on his/her own. In addition, it also helps to develop the critical thinking skills which are also very important. We believe that nurturing true grit in children is important as every child has their own strength and potential which can be discovered.
