I did not give up because I know I can overcome difficulties.

I started Kumon Mathematics when I was five years old. I enjoy doing Kumon worksheets because although it is challenging, it allows me to practise Maths every day. When I was studying long division in Kumon, I faced many difficulties as the numbers were too big for me to calculate mentally, and it was a new topic that I have not learnt from school. Therefore, I took a longer time to complete my daily homework, but I did not give up. I worked harder and consulted my Instructor for help. Although I was slow due to learning at my own pace, the Instructor was very patient and caring. She helped me overcome my challenges with care. With extra practices and study tips given by the Instructor, I can now solve long division problems easily.

Throughout my Kumon journey, I have learnt to discipline myself and I know how to manage my time better. I’m now learning materials equivalent to secondary one syllabus in school, and I’m so proud of my achievement. Thanks to Kumon, I can complete Maths questions faster than my classmates. I have my multiplication tables at my finger tips and I am able to solve any Maths questions at my level as I know the formulas by heart. Most importantly, Kumon has also taught me to face challenges instead of running away from them.

Kumon also encourages its students to become excellent in whatever they do. That is why I always aim to do better each time and this desire motivates me to strive to be a Kumon Mathematics Completer. My dream is to become a renowned surgeon because I want to help those in need and through this contribute to the society.
